Not my favorite bean unfortunately. I was excited to try something local since I currently ship 5lb from my favorite coffee roaster in Texas.
I tried a couple before buying a 5lb bag of this blend. The grind has to be extremely fine in order to pull a decent shot — more fine than any other blend I have dialed in. Not in love with the taste even when I get the expresso dialed in. Just not as smooth and the taste feels dull. Curious to know other’s experiences that use this for expresso. I have tried their expresso blend and haven’t loved that either. I would love to find a blend and roaster up here that I could purchase from in the future. I will just have to keep experimenting with Union’s different blends.
